KCD8XPUG12T8 Kioxia CD8P-V 12.8TB PCIe 5.0 2.5" Server SSD

High-Performance PCIe Gen5 U.2 NVMe Datacenter SSD for read-intensive tiers with the KCD8XPUG12T8

The KCD8XPUG12T8 is a Kioxia CD8P-V Series U.2 2.5in NVMe SSD engineered for enterprise platforms that demand consistent low-latency access and predictable QoS under read-heavy concurrency. By leveraging a PCIe Gen5 interface, the KCD8XPUG12T8 is well aligned with modern CPU root complexes and Gen5 backplanes, reducing storage as a bottleneck for analytics-driven retrieval patterns and dense virtualization stacks.

Built on TLC NAND and tuned for datacenter duty cycles, the KCD8XPUG12T8 delivers up to 12,000 MB/s sequential read and 2,000,000 IOPS 4K read to accelerate scan, cache-warm, and content distribution workflows, while maintaining controlled write behavior up to 5,300 MB/s and 400,000 IOPS 4K write. The 12.8TB U.2 form factor supports serviceable front-access bays, and the 23W active / 5W idle profile helps IT teams plan per-node power budgets across storage tiers and scale-out clusters.

Why Choose the KCD8XPUG12T8?

The KCD8XPUG12T8 provides a practical density-to-performance balance for read-intensive database and analytics environments, cloud storage tiers, and cache-centric delivery nodes where PCIe Gen5 throughput and strong random-read capability translate directly into higher consolidation ratios. With 3 DWPD for 5 years and 2.5M hours MTBF/MTTF, the KCD8XPUG12T8 supports predictable lifecycle management and consistent fleet behavior at rack scale.

Kioxia designs the CD8P-V family with datacenter reliability as a primary constraint, integrating power loss protection, end-to-end data protection, and sanitize instant erase (SIE) to support operational security and controlled decommissioning. OCP 2.0 support aligns the drive with standardized telemetry and management expectations in modern data centre architectures.

Key Applications:

• Read-intensive databases
• Real-time analytics
