Intel Xeon Gold 6248R 24 Cores 48 Threads 4GHz P (LGA 3647) CD8069504449401 Workstation, Server CPU

High-Density Server/Workstation CPU featuring Cascade Lake scalability with the Intel Xeon Gold 6248R (CD8069504449401)

The Intel Xeon Gold 6248R is a 2nd Gen Xeon Scalable (Cascade Lake) tray CPU for LGA3647 platforms, designed for enterprise servers and workstation-class compute nodes where predictable performance per socket and validated platform features are required. With 24 cores and 48 threads, the Intel Xeon Gold 6248R supports consolidation for virtualization hosts while maintaining strong single-thread turbo behavior for mixed service stacks.

Architecturally, the Intel Xeon Gold 6248R aligns to DDR4 memory topologies up to 2933 MT/s with ECC support for data integrity, enabling balanced bandwidth for database, analytics, and in-memory workloads at scale. PCIe 3.0 expansion and up to 48 lanes (platform-dependent) provide sufficient I/O headroom for NVMe storage, high-speed networking, and accelerator connectivity in mainstream dual-socket designs. For compute-intensive nodes, AVX-512 and Intel DL Boost accelerate vectorized HPC and inference-adjacent primitives, while Intel VMD improves storage manageability through controlled PCIe/NVMe enumeration.

Why Choose the Intel Xeon Gold 6248R?

The Intel Xeon Gold 6248R delivers a strong density-to-performance ratio for 2-socket deployments, using UPI-based scalability to extend throughput without redesigning the platform footprint. It is a practical choice when enterprise reliability, virtualization readiness, and consistent BIOS/firmware integration are mandatory, and when PCIe 3.0 and DDR4 infrastructure must be leveraged efficiently across standardized racks.

Intel designs Xeon Scalable processors with long platform lifecycles, rigorous validation, and a feature set aligned to modern data centre controls, including Intel VT-x/VT-d, TXT, and AES-NI for secure, policy-driven operation. The Intel Xeon Gold 6248R fits established LGA3647 ecosystems with mature server boards, memory qualification, and predictable thermal envelopes.

Key Applications:
