1EX2037

High-Performance 2.5-inch SAS Enterprise SSD for HA Storage Paths with the 1EX2037

The 1EX2037 is a WD Ultrastar DC SS530 3.84TB internal SAS SSD engineered for always-on data center tiers where consistent latency, deterministic throughput, and secure serviceability matter more than peak burst behavior. As a dual-port 2.5-inch SAS device, 1EX2037 aligns with redundant controller topologies and multipath I/O designs, enabling continuous access through active/active or active/passive storage paths.

Built on 3D TLC NAND, 1EX2037 targets read-intensive and mixed enterprise profiles with a balanced endurance envelope of 1 DWPD across 5 years and predictable performance characteristics. The SAS interface simplifies integration into established backplanes and HBA/RAID stacks, while supporting high queue depths for virtualized estates; in practice, 1EX2037 is well-suited for OS boot pools, metadata acceleration, tiering, and general-purpose VM datastores where moderate write endurance and strong read IOPS are required.

Why Choose the 1EX2037?

The 1EX2037 provides an efficient density-to-performance ratio in a standard 2.5-inch bay while preserving enterprise availability through dual-port SAS connectivity. For infrastructure teams standardizing on SAS ecosystems, 1EX2037 reduces deployment friction, supports predictable scaling across shelves, and strengthens reliability posture with end-to-end protection features that complement controller-level RAID and multipath strategies.

WD designs Ultrastar enterprise media for sustained 24/7 operation with disciplined qualification, power-efficiency focus, and firmware behavior tuned for data center fault domains. With hardware-based security and integrity controls aligned to modern compliance expectations, WD platforms such as 1EX2037 are engineered to integrate cleanly into audited environments and standardized lifecycle processes.

Key Applications:

Server boot and OS mirror
Read-intensive cache and tiering
Virtualization datastore
Metadata and index acceleration
High-availability SAS storage arrays

At Happyware - Server Hardware you benefit from non-binding offers tailored to your rollout and compatibility requirements for the 1EX2037, and you can extend the warranty up to 6 years to strengthen long-term operational planning for critical storage tiers.
