PCIe Gen5 connectivity is central to the SYS-212MT-FNR design, aligning accelerator, NIC, and storage bandwidth to modern east-west traffic patterns. The front bay architecture provides 8 hot-swap NVMe E3.S/E3.L PCIe Gen5 x4 drives for low-latency tiering and high IOPS, complemented by a PCIe 5.0 M.2 NVMe slot for boot/utility separation.
