The SBI-422B-5NE14 is a 1-node compute blade engineered for Supermicro SuperBlade 8U enclosures, optimised for dense CPU throughput and shared chassis power/cooling. Built on the Intel Xeon 6 platform (Xeon 6700/6500 families, Granite Rapids or Sierra Forest) and the Intel C741 chipset, it supports dual-socket configurations that scale to high core counts for HPC, virtualisation, and data services where rack-level efficiency matters.
For memory-bound workloads, the SBI-422B-5NE14 provides 16 DDR5 ECC DIMM slots supporting RDIMM, 3DS-RDIMM, or MRDIMM, enabling high bandwidth and large capacity footprints for consolidation and in-memory processing. PCIe Gen5 I/O is exposed through an OCP NIC 3.0 SFF slot, aligning the blade with modern fabric and NIC roadmaps. Local data placement is addressed by 4 E1.S NVMe bays for low-latency scratch or dataset staging, complemented by an onboard M.2 NVMe (PCIe Gen4) for OS boot or hypervisor images, keeping the primary NVMe bays available for applications.
