SST-FA311-B

Compact Micro-ATX Tower Chassis optimised for air/liquid cooling and local storage density with the SST-FA311-B

The SST-FA311-B is a compact tower chassis for Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX platforms, engineered to support modern desktop CPU and GPU configurations where controlled airflow, predictable cabling, and serviceable storage placement matter. For IT teams standardising small-footprint creator workstations or SOHO edge nodes, the SST-FA311-B provides a disciplined internal layout that accommodates high-wattage components without forcing non-standard power or board choices.

Architecturally, the SST-FA311-B prioritises thermal headroom and expansion practicality: 140mm fan mounting options and front 240mm radiator support allow either high-airflow builds or closed-loop liquid cooling for sustained CPU boost behaviour. A standard ATX (PS/2) PSU bay keeps power provisioning flexible for single-node deployments. Storage is organised as up to 4 total bays, mixing 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch media for OS SSD plus capacity HDD configurations, while acknowledging that the design is non-hot-swap and therefore best suited to planned maintenance cycles. Front I/O integrates USB 3.0, USB 2.0, and combined audio to align with typical desktop peripheral and provisioning workflows.

Why Choose the SST-FA311-B?

The SST-FA311-B delivers a balanced density-to-performance envelope for compact towers, enabling consistent cooling behaviour and straightforward assembly in environments that value repeatable builds. The chassis supports scalable component selection across Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX SKUs, while dust filtering and cable management help maintain reliability and predictable thermals over longer service intervals.

SilverStone designs enclosures with an engineering-first focus on airflow, mechanical fit, and practical service access, aligning materials and tolerances to the operational expectations of modern office, lab, and edge deployments.

Key Applications:

Creator and engineering workstations
SOHO edge compute nodes
Compact virtualisation lab hosts
General-purpose desktop platforms
Local SSD/HDD mixed storage builds

At Happyware - Server Hardware you benefit from non-binding offers tailored to your build standardisation goals and an extended warranty of up to 6 years to protect long-lived SST-FA311-B deployments across distributed sites.
