KCD8XVUG12T8

High-Performance U.2 NVMe Enterprise SSD for Read-Intensive Data Platforms with the KCD8XVUG12T8

The KCD8XVUG12T8 is a 12.8TB 2.5in U.2 enterprise SSD designed for PCIe Gen4 NVMe 1.4 server storage tiers where low latency and sustained throughput directly impact database and analytics response times. Integrated into modern CPU platforms with Gen4 lanes, the KCD8XVUG12T8 enables high queue-depth parallelism while keeping host overhead low, supporting dense nodes that prioritise efficient IOPS-per-watt and predictable QoS.

Built on TLC NAND with an architecture tuned for read-intensive and mixed 24/7 profiles, KCD8XVUG12T8 delivers up to 6,600 MB/s sequential read and up to 1,050K 4K random read IOPS, aligning well with virtualisation boot/storage pools and shared cloud images. The U.2 form factor supports hot-swap backplanes and serviceable front-access bays, while PLP safeguards in-flight data during power events; SED encryption and Sanitize Instant Erase provide policy-aligned data handling for controlled decommissioning and multi-tenant environments.

Why Choose the KCD8XVUG12T8?

The KCD8XVUG12T8 provides an enterprise-focused balance of capacity density and Gen4 performance for storage layers where read bandwidth and consistent latency are primary constraints. With 3 DWPD endurance over 5 years and high reliability targets, the KCD8XVUG12T8 supports scalable deployments across clustered databases, hypervisor farms, and analytics nodes without overprovisioning for endurance headroom.

Kioxia engineers the KCD8X Series to meet data centre operational requirements, combining controller-level telemetry, power-loss protection, and security features that align with standardised NVMe management practices and continuous-service maintenance models.

Key Applications:

Read-intensive databases
Analytics and search indexing
Virtualisation boot and storage tiers
Cloud infrastructure caching
24/7 enterprise mixed workloads

At Happyware - Server Hardware you benefit from non-binding offers tailored precisely to your needs and bulk order discount options for large rollouts of KCD8XVUG12T8 across standardised server and storage platforms.
