KCD8XPUG1T60 Kioxia CD8P-V 1.6TB PCIe 5.0 2.5" Server SSD

High-Performance U.2 2.5in PCIe Gen5 NVMe Datacenter SSD featuring TLC endurance with the KCD8XPUG1T60

KCD8XPUG1T60 is a Kioxia CD8P-V Series datacenter SSD engineered for PCIe Gen5 NVMe server storage tiers where latency consistency and predictable QoS are required. Integrated into U.2 2.5in backplanes, KCD8XPUG1T60 supports modern CPU platforms with Gen5 lanes, enabling higher queue-depth efficiency for mixed virtualization, database, and infrastructure workloads.

Built on 3D TLC NAND, KCD8XPUG1T60 balances performance and write endurance for read-intensive tiers while sustaining 3 DWPD over 5 years. The drive architecture delivers up to 12,000 MB/s sequential read and up to 1,600,000 IOPS 4K read, aligning with dense VM clusters and high-concurrency query patterns. For storage design, the U.2 form factor simplifies hot-swap serviceability, while NVMe command set efficiency reduces software overhead compared to legacy SAS/SATA paths. Power-loss protection, end-to-end data protection, and OCP 2.0 compliance support integration into fleet-managed environments and standardized telemetry pipelines.

Why Choose the KCD8XPUG1T60?

KCD8XPUG1T60 provides a strong density-to-performance profile for Gen5-capable servers, consolidating fast primary storage and low-latency cache/log roles in a single enterprise SSD class. With power-loss protection and 2.5 million hours MTBF, KCD8XPUG1T60 supports scale-out deployments where operational continuity, controlled endurance planning, and consistent performance under 24x7 load are decisive.

Kioxia designs its datacenter SSDs with a reliability-first engineering approach, combining NAND management, firmware validation, and platform compliance features to meet modern data centre requirements for secure erase, data integrity, and predictable lifecycle behavior.

Key Applications:

• Read-intensive NVMe tiers for databases
• Virtualization and VM datastores
• Low-latency cache and write logging
