EX710DA2G2P5 Intel X710-DA2 10G SFP+ PCIe 3.0 x8 Ethernet Network Card

High-Performance Low-Profile Dual-Port 10GbE PCIe NIC featuring Intel X710 Converged Ethernet with the EX710DA2G2P5

The EX710DA2G2P5 is a low-profile PCIe 3.0 x8 Ethernet converged network adapter engineered for enterprise server platforms that require predictable 10GbE uplinks and advanced virtualization offloads. Built on the Intel X710 controller family, it integrates dual SFP+ connectivity to support optics or DAC cabling, enabling clean top-of-rack aggregation without consuming excessive expansion real estate.

In virtualized CPU-heavy hosts, the EX710DA2G2P5 helps reduce per-packet overhead through SR-IOV and VMDq queues, while RSS and checksum/segmentation offloads maintain throughput consistency under multi-tenant traffic. Overlay acceleration for NVGRE/VXLAN/Geneve supports modern network segmentation in NFV stacks, and the adapter’s boot capabilities align storage and compute provisioning by enabling PXE, iSCSI boot, or FCoE in converged fabrics. The PCIe 3.0 x8 interface provides sufficient host bandwidth for sustained dual-port 10GbE operation with balanced interrupt distribution and traffic steering.

Why Choose the EX710DA2G2P5?

The EX710DA2G2P5 delivers a pragmatic density-to-performance profile: dual 10GbE SFP+ ports in a low-profile form factor, with enterprise-grade traffic management, VLAN, QoS, and packet filtering for controlled east-west and north-south flows. Selecting the EX710DA2G2P5 standardizes server uplinks across clusters, supports scalable virtualization designs, and helps keep latency and CPU utilization within operational targets.

Intel designs the X710 Ethernet portfolio to meet data center reliability requirements, emphasizing driver maturity, standards compliance, and consistent feature behavior across OS and hypervisor ecosystems. The EX710DA2G2P5 aligns with modern rack and blade deployments where predictable interoperability and lifecycle stability are mandatory.

Key Applications:

• Virtualization hosts with SR-IOV
• NFV and network segmentation
• 10GbE top-of-rack uplinks via SFP+
