R183-Z94-AAV1 Gigabyte

High-Density 1U Dual-Socket SP5 Rack Server Barebone optimized for Gen5 I/O with the R183-Z94-AAV1 Gigabyte

The R183-Z94-AAV1 Gigabyte is a 1U dual-socket SP5 platform designed for high core density and balanced I/O, supporting 2x AMD EPYC 9005/9004 processors for consolidated compute in private cloud and edge clusters. Its DDR5 RDIMM architecture scales across 24 DIMMs with 12 memory channels per CPU, enabling high-bandwidth virtualization footprints and large in-memory datasets while maintaining predictable NUMA behavior for multi-tenant workloads.

To eliminate storage bottlenecks, the R183-Z94-AAV1 Gigabyte integrates a front 12-bay hot-swap design supporting PCIe Gen5 NVMe, plus SATA and SAS-4 tiers when an optional controller is deployed. Expansion is aligned to modern fabrics, with PCIe 5.0 x16 slots for accelerator-class cards and dual OCP NIC 3.0 PCIe Gen5 interfaces for low-latency networking, while dedicated BMC management and IPMI/HTML5 KVM streamline remote operations at scale.

Why Choose the R183-Z94-AAV1 Gigabyte?

The R183-Z94-AAV1 Gigabyte delivers a strong density-to-performance ratio in 1U by combining SP5 compute scalability with Gen5 storage and network pathways, making it suitable for standardized rack deployments where power, cabling, and serviceability are constrained. Redundant hot-swap power, tool-less front access, and modular I/O options support phased growth from virtualization to storage-heavy compute without redesigning the node profile.

Gigabyte engineers this platform with an enterprise-first focus on serviceability, consistent firmware behavior, and component interoperability that aligns with data centre standards. The management stack based on ASPEED AST2600 BMC, UEFI, and dedicated management networking helps operations teams enforce lifecycle control, automation, and secure remote access across fleets.

Key Applications:

Hybrid and private cloud virtualization
High-density consolidated compute
NVMe storage-heavy compute tiers
Low-latency edge and networking services
Software-defined storage and HCI nodes

At Happyware - Server Hardware you benefit from non-binding offers tailored precisely to your rollout plan for the R183-Z94-AAV1 Gigabyte, enabling fast procurement alignment with CPU, memory, and I/O configuration requirements, and you can extend the warranty up to 6 years to secure long-term availability for enterprise operations.
