AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 9985WX 64 Cores 128 Threads 5.4GHz sTR5 100-100000722WOF Workstation CPU

High-Performance 1S Workstation/Server CPU featuring PCIe 5.0 I/O scaling with the AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 9985WX (SKU 100-100000722WOF)

The AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 9985WX is a 1-socket sTR5 (LGA4844) processor built for WRX90/TRX50-class platforms where core density and I/O bandwidth must coexist in a single node. With 64 cores and 128 threads, it targets mixed enterprise workloads that benefit from high parallel throughput while retaining high boost headroom for latency-sensitive tasks.

Designed for modern DDR5 ECC memory configurations up to 2TB, the AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 9985WX supports large in-memory datasets and stable long-duration compute, making it suitable for simulation, EDA, and dense virtualization. Its 128 PCIe 5.0 lanes enable clean topologies for multiple GPUs, high-speed NVMe storage, and high-bandwidth networking without oversubscription, simplifying expansion planning in GPU workstations and compact compute servers. The AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 9985WX has no integrated GPU, aligning the platform for discrete accelerator deployments.

Why Choose the AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 9985WX?

The AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 9985WX delivers a high density-to-performance profile for organizations consolidating CAD/CAE, rendering, and technical compute into fewer, more capable nodes. It scales predictably with PCIe 5.0 expansion and large ECC memory footprints, while supporting enterprise-ready instruction sets and virtualization features for secure, multi-tenant development and VM consolidation. The AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 9985WX is well suited to standardized 1S designs where power and thermals are managed within a 350W class envelope.

AMD engineering prioritizes platform longevity, validated memory and I/O behavior, and ISA capabilities aligned with contemporary data center and workstation standards. With security and virtualization support such as AMD-V and AES-NI, the AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 9985WX fits controlled enterprise environments that require consistent performance under sustained load.
