Each of the 2 independent nodes supports up to 2x 3rd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable (Ice Lake, LGA4189) processors, aligning the platform with modern PCIe 4.0 I/O and high core-density virtualization or storage services per rack unit.
Per node, 16x DDR4 ECC RDIMM slots scale to 4TB and support Intel Optane Persistent Memory 200 series, enabling higher cache tiers and metadata acceleration without sacrificing DRAM capacity. The SYS-220BT-DNC8R pairs this memory architecture with a tri-mode storage front end: 12x 2.5-inch hot-swap bays per node supporting U.2 NVMe as well as SAS and SATA, plus 2x M.2 2280 for boot or read cache isolation.
